Game Changing MMO?

Current Status: Developing a next generation Virtual World for Kids!

Lance Priebe, better known as “rsnail” in his entrepreneur titling game “Clubpenguin”, has tweeted this simple tweet. It had the whole MMO community buzzing for the bit while it remained. It woke a lot of people up though, and here’s why.

Wwe Adam posted a fairly decent article explaining Club penguin’s decrease in popularity; how the end may be near for the MMO. The statistics speak for themselves, and I think this new game that Lance is coming out with might just end competition. Lance replied to numerous questions on the status. He stated his game would be better than his previous, Club Penguin. He also stated it is a world with items and friends; which is just like Club Penguin.

So we have a virtual world that from what he says is all for your imagination, will be better than CP and will have fan-favorite types of items; beta items. Seems like programmers are stepping up their games, right? He is also currently working with HyperHippo.Ca, forming games like Mech Mice and Lexicon Heroes. Although I don’t know if he’s teaming up with HyperHippo or just doing it solo with this MMO, it’d be nice if they pitched in. He stated that both of those games are going great, they just have a third project that’ll blow the fan base away.

He’s been in the gaming circuit for a decade now, and if its anyone who would program another MMO i’d like it to be him. I mean come on, It’s Rocketsnail. I’m just afraid that the launch of this game would end competition for most virtual MMO’s, such as Chobots, Transformice, ECT. Since it’s fresh out of the coding it’ll surely be a topic for a month or two, as everyone now knows the joy of participating in betas now days.

So Lance, take it easy, would ya’?
